Care for Our Visitors

We offer a warm welcome to all our visitors and in particular seek to treat visiting bowls teams as we would wish our own teams to be treated when visiting other clubs. A visiting team (e.g. in an individual County or District competition) will usually find that the Potters Bar Team has provided after the game refreshments.

We seek to ensure the Car Park barrier is raised so there is ease of access for visiting teams. For Club games we put up Welcome signs showing the name of the visiting team. For Club games we offer refreshments on a reciprocal basis though mostly these days (following the pandemic) for club friendly games this is arranged as tea/coffee and biscuits. For special events and matches we still provide a two course after the game meal. Our bar is usually open and our players will invariably offer to buy their opposite players a drink at the bar. We provide visiting teams with their own changing rooms, separately for men and ladies.

We know that courtesy and care are embedded features of playing bowls and we seek to adhere to those principles.
